The Evolving Digital Infrastructure Industry
The global digital infrastructure ecosystem is expanding! Innovators and leaders across multiple sectors and industries including data centers, energy, real estate and sustainability came together in a busy Q2 conference circuit to discuss unique opportunities and challenges presented by the growth of AI workloads. Key events including Data Center World, Bisnow DICE National, Green Buildings Initiative, ITW and Data Cloud Global Congress.

60 HUDSON STREET UPDATE

Congratulations to Jeff Burns as he takes on an exciting new role in the industry! We are grateful for his outstanding contributions to NYI and wish him all the best in his next chapter.
Management of our 60 Hudson Street facilities has transitioned to the capable hands of Juan Ng and Bakhyt (Baja) Akhmedov, with Irene Dauphiney continuing to serve as primary customer service contact point.

Building a Sustainable Future
Phillip Koblence was honored to serve as moderator for Green Building Initiative (GBI)’s “More Than Megawatts: Community-Centered Approaches to Data Center Development” panel discussion at GBI’s Better Buildings Data Centers Seminar in early May.
As AI drives unprecedented demand for digital infrastructure, this panel of forward-thinking leaders shared insights from their work in sustainability and community engagement and outlined actionable strategies to build trust, generate local economic value, and ensure future data center projects align with local community priorities.

Nomad Futurist Career Day
Phillip Koblence helped host the Nomad Futurist Career Day event held at this year’s Data Center World conference. The packed event, created in partnership with AFCOM and Infrastructure Masons was designed for people interested in joining the fast-growing digital infrastructure industry. Attendees included college students, educators and administrators, and members of the military community.
Phillip and a full line-up of experts provided an industry overview and perspectives on key roles within the data center ecosystem. As Co-Founder of Nomad Futurist, Phillip was delighted to welcome attendees and guide them at the culmination of the event on a tour of the innovative Data Center World Expo Hall. Attendees were also provided with the opportunity to meet with hiring managers and local companies.
