2Q 2025 Summary
2Q was an exceptionally busy quarter with NYI participating in many industry events and expanding connectivity capabilities at our facilities at 60 Hudson Street and Oak Brook, IL.
It is an exciting time to be involved in the digital infrastructure sector as it continues to evolve, with industry leaders focused on solving for key issues such as the impact of AI, the accelerating demand for land, power, and connectivity, and the growing importance of data center sustainability.

Recognition at Data Center World
NYI’s 60 Hudson Street facility manager Jeffrey Burns attended this year’s Data Center World event in Washington D.C. where he was recognized as one of the Top Five 2025 Finalists for Data Center World’s prestigious international “Data Center Manager of the Year” award!
Jeff skillfully manages NYI’s facilities at the iconic 60 Hudson Street building in New York City—one of the most connected and complex legacy carrier hotel environments in the world. His deep industry experience, innovative approaches, and focus on customer experience and employee satisfaction have contributed significantly to NYI.
A Focus on Sustainability
NYI COO Phillip Koblence was honored to speak at Green Building Initiative’s second annual Better Buildings: Data Center Seminar in Chicago on May 15th. This dynamic event brought together data center designers, owners, and operators who shared innovative strategies to improve the sustainability and resilience of data centers during a time of unprecedented demand. DCD Broadcast on Brownfield Sites
While AI is exponentially increasing demand for digital infrastructure, the industry is faced with an urgent issue — the lack of land and power. At a time when finding perfect greenfield sites for data centers is extremely challenging, brownfield sites offer immense potential.

Our COO Phillip Koblence was honored to lead a workshop at Reuters Events: Global Energy Transition 2025 on June 25th in New York! As Co-Founder of the Nomad Futurist Foundation, Phillip shared insights about how to develop skilled workers to handle accelerating energy and data center demands in the age of AI. He also shared how Nomad Futurist is collaborating with Infrastructure Masons to engage students and create a future pipeline of talent to support our digital age.
